Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using RecipeSpinoff ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
RecipeSpinoff is a family recipe management platform that allows users to save, customize, and share recipes. The Service includes:
- Web-based recipe management application
- Mobile application for iOS and Android
- Recipe saving from YouTube cooking videos
- Personal "spinoff" recipe creation
- Family kitchen groups for sharing and rating recipes
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 13 years old
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
User Content
You retain ownership of recipes and content you create on RecipeSpinoff. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your kitchen members.
You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' intellectual property rights.
Kitchens (Family Groups)
Kitchens are shared spaces where family members can view and rate recipes. By joining a kitchen:
- Your recipes and ratings within that kitchen are visible to other kitchen members
- You may leave a kitchen at any time
- Kitchen creators may remove members at their discretion
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Share account credentials with unauthorized users
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
- Post spam, malicious content, or inappropriate material
SMS/Text Messaging
RecipeSpinoff may send you SMS text messages as part of the Service. By using the Service and providing your phone number, you agree to the following:
- Types of Messages: We send one-time verification codes for mobile app login and account registration. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
- Consent: You consent to receive SMS messages when you provide your phone number on the login or registration screen and tap "Send Verification Code." Consent disclosure is displayed on-screen before any SMS is sent.
- Frequency: Messages are transactional only and sent on-demand when you request a verification code. There are no recurring or scheduled messages.
- Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply. RecipeSpinoff is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier.
- No Sharing: Your phone number and SMS consent information will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying code, is owned by RecipeSpinoff and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted recipes or nutritional information
- We are not liable for any adverse outcomes from following recipes on the platform
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect the Service. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Your personal data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
- Recipes shared with kitchen members may remain visible to those members
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
